Food Rescue

Kai Avondale operates a small scale food rescue service, where our Coordinator picks up unsold food from local eateries and redistributes the kai to people in our community. We also receive excess food from catering companies and food businesses that we can use at Feed the Streets or offer at Free Guys.

This is separate from the kai we receive from dedicated rescued food providers Fair Food and KiwiHarvest, however we acknowledge the amazing support we receive from them as well.
